As per Article 8.8 of the Constitution, it is mandatory for all government officials to take an oath prior to commencing their duties within the Government of the Celestial Order of Astoria.
The act of taking the Oath signifies the official assumption of the respective position. Failure to publicly take the oath will lead to the vacancy of the office, which will be filled in accordance with the relevant laws pertaining to elections, nominations or appointments, depending on the nature of the position.
The oath is as follows:
Violations of the Oath will result in legal actions and will lead to the removal of the official from their position.
