Esteemed Justices of the Supreme Court,
In light of the constitutional provisions outlined in Article 8, clauses 8 and 9 of the Astorian Constitution, which mandate that all government officials take a solemn oath before assuming office:
I respectfully present the following inquiries to the esteemed Supreme Court:
Considering the stipulations of the Astoria constitution, particularly the comprehensive oath outlined in Article 8, clauses 8 and 9, I seek elucidation on the temporal binding nature of a government official's sworn oath. Could the Supreme Court clarify the duration of the oath's validity? Moreover, does the constitution of Astoria necessitate government officials to renew their oath at the commencement of each term, regardless of having previously taken the solemn affirmation?
I express gratitude to the Supreme Court for considering these queries.

8. All government officials must take an oath before taking office.
9. The contents of the oath will be as follows:

I will conscientiously protect them from all threats and faithfully preserve and defend the Constitution and laws of our Crowned Republic. I will perform my duties solely in the best interests of Astoria without being influenced by personal gain or outside influences. I undertake not to take advantage of the powers conferred on me by the Constitution and to avoid negligence and any unlawful conduct in the performance of my duties.
