Ambis is running for Supreme Harbinger!
Yes you heard that right! This Ambis is running for the best Harbinger position there is!
But why?
Because we flipped a coin. However, I do intend to take this election, and this job, seriously. And I only did it because I despised uncompetitive elections, and if I did not run, Shadow would have been elected in a landslide. Yes. I know Rosa's running for Archkeeper unopposed. Blame the coin. Not me.
Plans?
Why yes I have plans! Let me lay out my goals! They are quite similar to Shadow's but the court is obviously in a position that we both have agreeable opinions on.
One - Make sure records are kept up with, and easy to access.
I've already created a nation for this purpose, I have yet to use it though. These records will include every court case, which will be catalogued by their name and date, and will have links to their filings, court rulings, and will include the sitting Archangels. Additionally, I would like to log every law in a very similar fashion, as well as as amendments passed, so we can see what we've done, and what we're doing.
Two - Establish clear procedure for the Tribunal
Right now, the Tribunal is working off of precedent. The first case that Shadow and I did is largely dictating what we do now. We're still figuring it all out. I intend to establish very clear and very public procedure, detailing about how long things will take to occur, what happens behind the scenes, all of that.
Three - Establish a Harbinger Code of Conduct.
Harbingers should be held to a strict set of actions, seeing as they are some of the most important people in the region, able to interpret the constitution. I want to clearly lay out what is and is not allowed and expected of a Harbinger, and what violating this code could mean for their status as a Harbinger.
Four - Fix/ Update the Criminal Code
It is old and outdated. It should be updated to reflect the reality of our region, not just a holdover from days of old. This new code will have clear expectations from everyone involved, and should make any trial that needs to occur simple to perform, and not take absolute ages.
Selecting Additional Harbingers
Obviously, I cannot work alone. I will strive to very quickly appoint new Harbingers. I have one in mind, should I be elected, though the other is open. My form would most likely ask people about their prior legal experience on NS, the comfortability with the Astorian Legal system, and any ideas they have, possibly regarding former court cases. I would like to see them swiftly passed through the Angelic Assembly to serve with me.

Now, promises are nice and all, but let's back it up with some cold hard facts. I am a currently serving Harbinger, and authored the only Court Ruling to date, CR001, viewable here. Additionally, I served as Thaecia's Legal Affairs Minister, of which you can see an oral argument I provided to the court, which you can read here. Finally, I would like to present the Bar exam I wrote for Thaecia, viewable here.
In Regards to the Other Candidates
I would like to take a moment to address my other candidates. First, we have Edoardienne, and extremely new nation, who most like do not possess the legal prowess to handle this job. Not a slight against them in the least, simply an observation. Next, we have Shadow. Shadow is an extremely impressive candidate. Were I not running, they would have my vote. They are very well versed in legal knowledge, and have the skills to practice as well, and are not new to the justice role. So at the end of the day, as much as I would like to have some big reason, it comes down to you. I believe myself to have set strong goals, a clear plan, and very good support.
